If you heard some having an Open back surgery, he or she is being treated for spinal stenosis after all other methods of treatment had no success. If you have spinal stenosis, t eh pain is intolerable as may be caused by the pressure from bone, disc or tissues against the spinal cord. This bone is removed during decompression and may take for an hour or so to perform the open back surgery procedure under general anesthesia.
