HOW LONG IS THE WAIT TIMES FOR NANNY APPLICANTS?

Three years ago some of my friends who got their nanny from the Philippines waited for less than 6 months to get a working visa.

Now this is not possible.According to the Canadian Immigration website the nanny applicants usually require an interview and the the current wait times from receipt of the completed application is more or less 2 years.

Wow, What a wait! But if you compare the statistics from other countries it is lesser wait times. Is it because there are many nanny applicants from the Philippines? The Philippines is known to have the most number of nanny or caregiver applicants to Canada. They want to find better opprtunities that the philippines can't offer.

Some Pinoys just use the Caregiver program to get a VISA to come to Canada. The wait times is lesser as compared to when applying as a Landed Immigrant. Once you get your Visa, what is 2 years anyways of serving as a nanny you can apply as an Immigranta with ony 1 year waiting.

I have applied my sister in-law to come here as a nanny and hopefully she can get her interview shcedule before the end of the year.

Regardless if you go for a direct employer or an agency(who will find you an employer in Canada), there is no difference on the wait times. Be patient and sooner or later you will get your VISA to Canada.
