WANTED NANNIES AND CAREGIVERS IN CANADA

If you are one of the applicants to work as a nanny or live-in caregiver to Canada, read this.

Canada allows professional caregivers in the so –called Live-in caregiver program for nannies and caregivers overseas. There is a shortage of nannies and caregivers in Canada. The program entails working without supervision in your employer’s private household providing care for children, elderly persons or people who have disabilities.

Qualifications are as follows:

1. Completions of the equivalent Canadian high school education.

2. Completion of at least 6 months caregiver or nanny full-time classroom training or 12 months full-time paid employment in the area. Additional experience in early childhood education, geriatric care, pediatric nursing or first aid. You may also have completed your training as part of your formal education. This experience must have been obtained within the three years immediately prior to the day on which you submit an application for a work permit.

3.Fluent in speaking, writing and reading of either English or French languages.

4.Approved written employment contract between you and your future employer from
Human resources Canada outlining your job description and signed by both parties.
