Skin irritations, inflammations, redness and eczema outbreaks are common skin problems in young and old alike. This can be caused by irritations to chemicals contained in soaps, lotions or cosmetics, clothing, jewelry or laundry detergent. No one knows what causes eczema until being studied by a derma expert. Others believe that it can be hereditary but the good thing about eczema is that is not contagious and at some time it will go away.
